==============================
You know what’s so funny about this…just this past weekend I was over at my SO’s dad’s house and an extremely similar situation took place except it went a little bit more like this: [M=mom, D=dad]
M: How are you feeling? Are you okay?
D: Yes, I’m fine.
M: Are you sure because you just had surgery in your *cough, cough* down there.
D: Yea.M grabs medicine bottle and takes a pill out for D. D takes it. M takes an extra and takes it herself.
M: These things make me *so* happy. They take my headaches away.
M (maybe an hour later): How are you? Do you need another?
D: No, I’m fine.
M: Okay. Make sure you don’t take too many.
Hehe. Don’t you just love crazy family?!Now-a-days you can find your meds out of the sink faucet. Amazing how things change. Back to bottled water I guess.

Because I couldn’t immediately find the story on the high number of female teens with stds I thought that this one was also interesting and should be highlighted… PARENTS REFUSING TO VACCINATE
Now. There have for a long time been discussions about vaccines possibly being the cause for autism in children, regardless of whether or not this is true…I would like to state that I don’t think that the govt should require vaccinations before a child may enter a public school. It is the child’s parent’s decision to make and I think that’s where it stops.

So, I’m sure everybody by now knows about or has heard about Elliot Spitzer, now the ex-governor of New York. But, I really do have to wonder…why $80,000? It really makes you think….there must have been some very weird stuff going on to have to pay $80,000 for a one-night visit.
You can buy *SO* much with that kind of money… a moderate jaguar, guns galore, two BMWs, down payment on a nice house, vacations, a small plane…I mean…was the sex really that good or was it just super hard to find “that” kind of sex?
Fellow readers…out of pure fun…what do you think?

Life Was Better When Knowledge Was the Province Of Those Who Could Lie About It
Biology professor: Hey, didn’t they discover that process in corals?
Grad student: No, they discovered that in plants.
Biology professor: That’s what I just said!
Grad student: But coral is not a plant.
Biology professor: What? Yes, it is!
Grad student: No, it’s not, it’s an animal!
Biology professor: Since when?
Grad student: Since always — go look it up!
Biology professor, after disappearing for five minutes: Fucking Wikipedia…

Although it’s already been all over the internets it must be noted. Blu-ray has won. HD dvd producer Toshiba has declared that they will stop producing the dvds leaving the market open to Sony. Dvd was the way of the past, Blu-ray is the future. With the better graphics and the ability to hold more of course it was the winner. Last I heard Xbox (Microsoft) claims that they don’t expect to receive a hit b/c of their lack of Blu-ray dvd players…but Sony already has games lined up using the new Blu-ray system which means better graphics and more expansive games. You may not buy an Xbox 360 for the dvd player but the games are only bound to get better with PS3…it has the capability.

“U.S. drug regulators are re-evaluating the safety of Botox, best known as a wrinkle treatment, based on reports of serious ill effects, including several deaths among children taking Botox or a related drug, ” reported the San Francisco Chronicle. “Allergan said serious symptoms in the cases discussed by the FDA usually occurred when patients received higher doses, rather than the small amounts used in cosmetic injections. ‘Since its approval, over a million people have been treated with Botox Cosmetic. In its entire history, there has never been a single reported death where a causal link to Botox Cosmetic was established,’ said Dr. Sef Kurstjens, Allergan’s chief medical officer.”
“Shares in Allergan dropped nearly 6 percent to close at $63.30 on Friday. Solstice isn’t publicly traded. “The FDA did not disclose how many deaths occurred in the cases under its review, but said none were adults. Some adults with serious symptoms were hospitalized.
“In its petition to the FDA, Public Citizen said its own review of serious side effects reported to drug regulators turned up 180 cases where patients had trouble swallowing, inhaled food into their lungs or developed pneumonia. Of those 180, 16 died, including four children, the organization said. Public Citizen counted 12 deaths among adults.”
I’m sure most of you have already heard about this already but honestly why have we become so eager to inject Botulinum Toxin Type A (yes that is the full name that is listed on the bottles…TOXIN…into our bodies? Yes, we have learned to transform deadly toxins to work for us instead of against us but obviously not enough research was done on this one.

“And his work has spawned a discussion site called Wiimote Project.”
Some may not be all that impressed with the Wii but I think this is pretty freaking cool. The first video on the page shows head tracking and the second shows a “Minority report” type interaction with the screen. It’s not revolutionary but shows what you can do with something like the Wii. I can only imagine what kind of games they can create with the head-tracking alone.
